69 nova 427 new to site
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site. Hope to learn alot. My car is a 1969 nova ss. I've known this car since mid summer of 1975, at witch time it had a crate 427- iron rec. heads- 780 holly- lakewood scatter shield, traction bars, and 3 point roll bar. It also has an L88 fiberglass hood with with original Corvette 427 emblems, 4 speed. My friend Dave bought car in Witchita Falls Texas in 1975 when we were stationed at Sheppard AFB. He sold crate 427 in 1985 to someone in Bellfonte Pa. area. In 1986 he sold body with a few missing pieses. I found and bought car in Sept. 2002. It was origanaly burnished brown with a gold stripe on the hood only, cut and flared rear fenderwells for the slicks - as it was raced at the local dragstrip there in Texas. By chance does any one remember it? Broadcast sheet say L48 from factory. I don't know if made by an individual or dealer. I do know most all history back to 75. Question - what does crd mean #3 spot on the broadcast sheet?

Re: 69 nova 427 new to site
I swear I have seen a picture of the car somewhere before Burnished brown and gold nova with L88 hood... maybe an old magazine?
Does the car still have the fiberglass hood? Was there an electric fuel pump in the trunk? Who manufactured the Chin spoiler and what years? |
