Re: 427 impala
Wow.....interesting ad. I think he needs to do a little more research on these cars. A little overpriced as well. Neat car none the less.

Re: 427 impala
L78 Impala with a 4 speed buckets and console over priced? Looks like a tough one to find.

Re: 427 impala
Tough to find but can't pull more than $45k back out of it.....body looks to be in pretty rough shape judging by front fender/pass door

- The L72 was not rated at 435 hp - The L72 was not the same motor as the 427/435 in the Vette - The L72 didn't require COPO channels to be ordered - I believe 546 L72 big cars were built per Chevrolet records - Chevrolet usually built more sticks than automatics with their top motors - I'd be willing to bet most of the L72s were ordered for SS 427 cars over any other big car |

It's an L72 which is better yet but still over priced in my opinion. I have owned MANY of these cars so I am saying that from experience not just opinion. They just do not bring the money even when totally restored which is a real shame. As I have said in other discussions, I know of a certain L72, automatic SS427 convertible that is rough but 99% there and he was asking $15k 10 years ago and he STILL owns it so I must not be the only one that thinks that. |
Re: 427 impala
Sorry L72. I didn't know they never brought any real money. They are really cool cars.

Re: 427 impala
When you get right down to it they are worth whatever someone will pay for them. They deserve more credit than they get for sure.

Re: 427 impala
Why the orange paint in the lifter area? If it has 54k original miles?
