Well, I can ay only good things about the Goodings. That car sounds like pretty good money to me, judging by the one photo which shows the wrong color wheels for 1971. Now, maybe the owner/restorer wanted it that way, but technically, they are incorrect. Easily corrected.

Why are they the wrong color? They don't match the body?

Body Color wheels were first available in 1971?

I am aware we are discussing a 71 W30 that had several options of wheels. I am adding to the post that Body colored wheels were first introduced in 1970 on two specific models and option groups. Respectfully Paul |
Re: 1971 W30 4 speed Convertible sold at auction
I have seen this car floating around before. Is there any mention of quality documentation? Truthfully, I am surprised it sold for as much as it did looking at the car. The 1971 4spd W-30 convertible is the dream car for many Olds enthusiasts, but I am not sure this specific car & color combo would do it for me. That is just my opinion though. Thank John

I've never seen any docs on this particular W30. Was told it was at the Olds Nationals prior to restoration years ago and the broadcast card was found in the car at that time.
