My daily driver in 1990
Alright... this look was dated for 1990, as the tires were already several years old.
I was 18 at the time and picked up a Granny '70 Nova 230, PG. Swapped out the springs for 5-leaf rear and HD V8 coils to jack the car up a few inches on all 4 corners (kind of popular to raise the car up a bit in the '80s). Added some junkyard '70s rallys with "billboard" polyglas F-70-14 bias ply tires up front, and G-60-14 Kelly Superchargers in the rear. I'm calling this "day 2", 'cause even thought it was 1990, this pic could have been taken in the '70s. Eventually the car got a 350, TH350, power discs, buckets, console, etc and settled down to a more "stock" ride height. http://home.comcast.net/~john.sm/70novaday2.jpg |

Unfortunately (or "fortunately", depending on your perspective) my daily driver in 1990 is still my daily driver today: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...k/100_7202.jpg http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...k/100_9996.jpg My "Day2 mods" tend to be very "Day1" by comparison. |
