Re: 12 bolt axle code
BR is what I see
|
Re: 12 bolt axle code
The character is curving, unlike the "R". Appears to be a "B"

Re: 12 bolt axle code
Can anyone decipher the rest of it? It came in my 71 nova ss and I was trying to figure out if it was original to the car.

Re: 12 bolt axle code
Definitely BR.

Re: 12 bolt axle code
If its a leaf spring rear end than it appears to be a 3.07 open for a Nova.

Re: 12 bolt axle code
CRG shows a BR axle is a 3.07 <span style="text-decoration: underline">with</span> Positraction. http://www.camaros.org/drivetrain.shtml#AxleCodes
After 1969 axle codes usually had a three letter identification, like CBR instead of just BR. |
Re: 12 bolt axle code
Yes John, you're correct...it is a 3.07 Posi......I read it wrong.
That rear end code is correct for a Nova also. Nova Resource What is the casting date? Kurt |
Re: 12 bolt axle code
The date code is illegible, here are some more pictures of it.
