Fuel Pump ID Help??
I don't want to make any mistakes so I am in hopes that someone on this site can ID this fuel pump and tell me the date and year that it was built for. I believe it came off a running 1969 Chevelle SS.
Thanks, Al in Maine http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psb288e84e.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...pse53d245a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psb7d9ce2c.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps4a493360.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps5a0f233f.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps2e85cf41.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps9370361b.jpg |

I believe the date code is 319th day of 1972

Re: Fuel Pump ID Help??
Do you think it is original or a repop?
|
Re: Fuel Pump ID Help??
probably real. I think I read the repops had a circle around ac. It did appear to be correct for a hi perf big block

Re: Fuel Pump ID Help??
The #727 is the hi-perf unit found on the L78 cars and others...the "72" is not part of the date.

Re: Fuel Pump ID Help??
From the info I had showed L is 1972

Re: Fuel Pump ID Help??
More info. Prior to around 1971, fuel pumps used 2 letters at the start of the stampings. First was month, second was year. Around 71, they dropped the first letter and used the Julian day of year then was the letter for the year. 2 things show this is a 71 or after pump. The day and year codes
