Re: Recommendations on garage floor epoxy
Thanks Dan! My fiancé and I just built a house and I don't want to move anything into the garage until it's coated.

Re: Recommendations on garage floor epoxy
Matt,
I've used U-Coat It and it was still in good shape after 6 years in a working garage (dragging transmissions across it, welding, grinding, etc...). I just recently completed an acid stain, epoxy, urethane job on my new garage/shop and I used Legacy Industrial products. Everything came out great and their technical support is outstanding. Good luck, Joe |
Re: Recommendations on garage floor epoxy
By the way, if you are using epoxy and the color chips, I believe you need to let the concrete cure for 30 days or more.
They do have some clear sealer stuff that can be put down on green concrete. Joe |
Re: Recommendations on garage floor epoxy
I'm in the middle of doing my shop floor right now. Sherwin Wiliams ARMORSEAL 1000 HS was my choice. First coat is done..second on Tuesday. It needs two because I want it shiny. The sales guy could have sold me primer, but I knew more about the coating than he did! Any way..nice stuff to say the least..should be stellar when done. I'll post pics. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-img_1719.jpg

Re: Recommendations on garage floor epoxy
My buddy has this floor machine..saved me alot of work..scrubber pad on the bottom..suction cleanup as well. Made about 5 passes, using various cleaning solutions..purple, green and finally the wash recomended by the paint manufacturer..so easy my Duaghter was helping out..well she posed for the picture at least

Re: Recommendations on garage floor epoxy
Please do a lot of research,I used u-coat it on my new garage.
It has lifted under tires, anything will leave a mark on it. They will give you a touch up kit,but forget their warranty they will blame you for the problem. My floor was new, cost around $800 for materials for 1000 sq ft.I cannot use metal jack stands, also any metal wheels will leave marks.Only thing I like is the easy cleanup and resistance to chemicals.Maybe it has worked for others this is my experience.
