Need help in identifying motor please
Just found your forum and thought you guys might be able to help me identify a motor I have. The block appears to be aluminum and the markings are 0326711 cast in and it looks like 8HSEVAKIS which is stamped in and the crankshaft has Hank the Crank 6039 hand engraved in the end. I will try to post some pictures as soon as I can figure out how to resize them.
Thanks for any help. Eric |
Re: Need help in identifying motor please
Cool!
Others here can clarify but O-326711 may be one of the original Reynolds casting alloy Can-Am 430 blocks? The Hank crank is probably more recent but what's cool is Sevakis Industries Detroit is who Reynolds had doing their machining on the original Can Am ZL1 motors also the alloy Pontiac lumps a few years later too! Check bore/liner situation and if fuel pump provision also other details of what you have and post some pics if you can. Welcome aboard! ~ Pete |

Re: Need help in identifying motor please
Should be a big block aluminum V-8, 4 bolt, 4.44 bore, steel cyl. liners. AKA Can-Am.
