1966-74 racing videos from a W-30 owner for sale
Not sure where this post belongs but here it goes.I purchased a 1970 w-30 4 speed survivor this year. It has awesome history and doc's. I have become friends with the original owner and have re-united the car with him and it's been a blast. with his permission I can share this with others as this hasn't been seen in 40 years. I have spent alot of time and resources converting 2 1/2 hours of old 8mm reel film to dvd and am now having a batch of 100 sets made. they will be a 2 disc set spanning 1966 to about 1974-5 era. Its not only footage of my car but also alot of good footage of cars of the day, funny cars and famous race cars. you will see it start out with he and a buddy street racinf in the northwoods of northern wi in a pair of 1966 442 4 speeds. Then you see him racing it and then selling it to a new owner about 1968. he then is shown racing his "day 2 " prepped brand new 70 w-30. He even took dash mointed videos, something he said was not being done then. It shows him at 3 tracks, kaukauna wi, eau claire, and union grove wi. At union grove, he took shots of famous cars such as arnie the farmer, the landy cars and grand spaulding dodge to name a few amongst all the other cars and funny cars of the era. Even the batmobile shows up driving only in reverse due to a transmission mishap!! There are some funny "young guy" antics and fourth of july parades. eventually my '70 was retired from racing to more of a daily driver role and then a pull vehicle for other cars. He towed a 67 gto which he rolled and you see the carnage. he filmed himself buying another 66 442 from a used car lot and shortly after gutting it to become another one of his race cars. he even filmed the car being painted in the body shop and showing the homemade ladder bar set-up being bent. another cool part is the merrill wi ice drags which they still have I believe. They run 1/8 mile on a frozen river uo north and use tires with thousands of drywall screws in them. This collection of film is focused a bit on olds but can be appreciated by any old car nut for sure as there is about every make of car from the era represented. I did see a yenko camaro with some writing on the side make a pass. They should be done by next week and I have inserts being made with a little bio on what is on the discs. I hope to be able to start offering them with in the next couple of weeks. I should be ale to ship them to your door for around the $30 mark. message me if interested. I will post some still shots from some of the tapes. Thanks for looking, Jason. http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...0w-30/day1.jpg
