I should be legal now. Here's a pic of the hood. Pulled from the original Legacy Fiberglass mold. The frame is reinforced with steel, but you will need to drill, tap/thread as needed. $1500.00 + shipping. More Motion style pieces coming.

I thought that the original Motion hoods had the scoop molded on, and then a hole was cut for the air cleaner to fit thru. This hood looks like it is open all the way across the underside. Is that correct, or should it just have a hole for the air cleaner?? The two original hoods that I ever saw YEARS ago had a big round hole cut in the hood big enough for the air cleaner to poke thru.

Heres where it sat for over 30 years. Maybe that is the hood Motion "started" with?

Thanks for the GREAT photo! That is exactly how I remember seeing the original Motion hoods, with just a cut out for the air cleaner. I never recalled them being molded out over the entire underside. The one he has listed could possibly be an aftermarket repro. Nice hood & NICE CAR! Thanks!

Re: Late 68-72 B/M Corvette Hood

Hi guys, thanks for the pix. The mold came from Legacy Fiberglass in PA who made hoods for Motion. Over the years I believe there were 2 or 3 different suppliers. So it is a new piece from original tooling. What does that make it exactly? NOS? Continuation? Repro? I don't know. That airbox looks to be a second piece bonded to the underside. I have owned hoods both with and without an airbox (and with or without the frame, for that matter). Here are a few more pix.

Don't see how a hood could look that nice being made from 45 year old tooling
