Lug Nut Size...

I'm doing some stuff on Karen's Berger...need to rotate the tires...are the lug nuts metric or standard?? my usual 3/4" Chevy deep socket feels a little loose?? and does anyone sell a socket that is "lined' to prevent abrasion on the chrome nuts??

thanks..wilma

Re: Lug Nut Size...

I know on some of the lug nuts it is stamped "metric"

as far as a tool goes - I believe there is a tool that has some type of nylon inside to prevent damage...I think shaun price ordered one for the Camaro we did

Check out Ebay--''thin wall socket''.Some of them have plastic inserts.Usually not impact sockets though.

Re: Lug Nut Size...

I took the lug nut to my local NAPA guy...the correct size 19mm...

They didn't sell the coated sockets...I may try to find one online now that I know the correct size.

Now unto the next problem...

I need a plastic battery tray for her Berger...the front side has cracked and it doesn't hold the battery tight..I have a call into my Chevy guy to see if it is still available.

Now back to the shop...
