It looks like the correct emblem to me; I think the lighting makes it appear like a later year emblem. It does have the wrong fan shroud though. Still a nice car that I wouldn't mind owning.

Dicky, you need to get your info correct before you post something like that....
1970 one year only header emblem all chrome with a black cursive "C" in the middle and the one on this car is correct http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...psd422f265.jpg Funny how you pick at the emblem on the header panel but you make no mention at all about the steering wheel being incorrect for a 1970....definitely the wrong steering wheel Also has wrong shifter and shifter ball but you make no mention of that either! |

No kidding. It must have been wrecked pretty bad to warrant an emblem replacement. The original wheel must have been bent from the driver hitting it in the wreck. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif[/img]

If the numbers check out it's a good buy for the money. Some easily correctable things. Hugger orange is a desirable color and was not available the following year in 1971 as a standard option color. The NK4 steering wheel was first available in 1971. Mike

Looks like a 71 or later, can't make out the grille coarseness or the gas pedal. 71 was the last year for a floor mounted gas pedal (on a Z28). Could be a regular Camaro with some of the components of a Z28. Have any pictures of the engine?
