I assume this is an old eaton posi, with the springs/plates not installed. Am I right?

That's just a straight open carrier.

Re: EATON POSI???
The flat area to the right of the carrier opening is indicative of an open carrier. If you can put a straight edge on there, it's an open. If it's rounded, its an Eaton carrier without the spring plates. The reason it's flat is that there is no provision for the wear plates that go over the clutch plate tabs. It's rounded to accommodate the wear plates.
