Shift boot identification

2 Attachment(s)
I thought I knew what this boot fits but cannot seem to find it. I was thinking mid year Chevelle but am coming up empty. Does anyone recognize this boot? Thank you.

Re: Shift boot identification

The overall rectangular shape including holes does look 68-72 Chevelle etc console style but w/ less boot folds/ribs?
How's it compare to a real one, aftermarket for the same application maybe...any markings?

Rick,
That's 68-69 Chevelle with console. Part # 3931688. 70-72 part # 3975356 is very similar with a 5-bellow design vs the early 2-bellow you have there.
Pretty rare piece that I don't believe has been reproduced.

Re: Shift boot identification

Ahhh, that explains it as it seemed like a 68-72 style but I have never had one to compare to. I was under the impression that the 68-72 was unchanged. I bought both the NOS early and late boots but they were in the same bag. I knew what the 3975356 was and readily identifiable but was unsure of the 3931688 and all I found on the net was a picture of the 3975356. As far as I know the 3931688 is NOT reproduced. Thanks guys!
