They just added the updated info with the inspection reports on all of the Chevrolets (Yenkos and the Mailbu ragtop) this week.
Anyone from here going/bidding? |

Is that Kevin Hands old RG Yenko Nova?
The Black Hat on the RG Nova really looks awesome to me... something about the V roof with the Ralley Green white stripe on the Nova. |

Regarding the Additional Docs, for the RG Yenko Camaro on Page 3 of the added JM report he states: "All of the Yenko Camaros ordered by Yenko Chevrolet were X44 coded base cars." In this report JM goes on to imply that, since this car's tag is coded 'X11', the fact that it is not coded X44 makes this tag suspect. I don't know this car or anything about the authenticity of the tag, but this statement about X44 being the only code for '69 Yenko Camaros is incorrect and, on its own, does not make this tag suspicious. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. But if I'm right it is a shame this paragraph is in this report. - Wade |

There are some pictures of the holding lot at Yenko showing some X11 cars waiting for their stripes. I have also seen a number of X11 cars in person and have no reason to believe their tags were reproductions. I agree that the part about the X11 tag not being legit should not be in the report. The decked and restamped block and questionable firewall are bigger issues though.
The Yenko Chevelle doesn't appear to have any issues although I was under the impression it still had it's original transmission which it apparently doesn't. The report on the Nova seems to imply that the CE block in the car is the one that was installed by Yenko in 69. Does anybody know if that is true? I didn't think that car had the original Yenko installed block in it. Charley, the Yenko Chevelle and Nova would look good in the Brothers Collection. |
