Local legends / lore
 

Could be a fun thread, I'll start. When I was growing up, my dad had a muffler shop. Across the street was a machine shop. The guy always had Superbirds and Daytonas all over the place. He totalled them all. He even made one into a convertible. Local legend was , and still is, that he built a hemi car into the basement so he wouldn't wreck it. Everyone in the small town still swears it's still in there, even though he closed the shop years ago.
