New PB, Yenko Deuce

Drew and I went to Memphis Thursday evening to see how the Deuce would do in the 1/4 mile. Was hooking pretty good, with short times in the 1.38 range and 1/8 in the 1.40s, ran a best of 10.245 @ 125.61. Without some changes, I would say this is about as quick as she will go, With a 5:13 gear, 29.5 slicks and a stock stroke SBC350, pretty much spent at the big end. Not complaining though, a lot of fun.

Nice!

Just out of curiosity, what was the trap rpm in the 1/4?

Really not for sure, as the only tach is the hood (Yenko) tach, which is pretty much there for looks. I leave off of an adjustable rev limiter (5600) and shift via an adjustable shift light. My shift light is set at 7200 and is on somewhere around the 1000' mark, so ???

Tom, are you referring to the 60' time as "The Short Time"?

Just curious.

Thanks DH

Yes... 60' = short time.

It makes the car look like it went another 600' in .02 seconds.

Am I correct?

Had me thinking I was having a "Senior moment"

Thanks Tom

Sounds like a great deal of fun with those 5.30's.

Re: New PB, Yenko Deuce

An ATI Power-Speed calculator says trap RPM would be @ 7300. MPH at 10.245 should be @129. Close to your results. Nice job with your combination.
