I'm speechless!
Look at this inventory of NOS and used Camaro parts recently acquired. Some REALLY rare stuff in there. 7 JL8 rears, forgot to count how many cross rams but it was several. I would pass out in a place like this. Anyone know where this collection came from?

Re: I'm speechless!
I just got the same email. Jim hit the jackpot on this! I'm looking for a set of April 186 heads. I'll have to give him a call.

Re: I'm speechless!
wow awesome! I believe we are going to see a lot more of these large collections being broken up in the future. I also collect ww2 items and have noticed the large collections being auctioned a lot more in the last few years.

Re: I'm speechless!
Looks like it came from Ricks... either Rick kept the original parts when he sold to Ecklers or Ecklers is liquidating the NOS and OEM used parts... hopefully to add some knowledgeable sales people. I've bought parts at Ecklers once since Ricks sold out. Never Again....

Re: I'm speechless!
Speaking of WWII items, I recently went on a 911 call for a heart attack in a farmers home. Upon arriving I could not help but notice the COMPLETE B17 instrument panel complete with throttles, console, wiring and sticks all on display in his living room. Once we got the patient stabilized and things calmed down I commented on it to one of my fellow fire fighters and WWII buff. The victims wife spoke up and said if I thought that was interesting I should walk down the basement but that it would likely cause me to be the next heart attack victim.

Re: I'm speechless!
I've got a bunch of WWII large format negs from my grandfather... Japanese Rear Admiral signing surrender docs on his ship, Tokyo in the spring of 1946, etc etc etc.

Re: I'm speechless!
----I inherited a huge, very cool (over 2 feet long) pair of binoculars off a WW2 Japanese battleship. They came with tripod, fitted boxes and spare parts. Its fairly easy to see that they have a lot of German influence built in. An uncle worked directly under MacArthur in Japan while Mac was Governor General and shipped these home. There was never an explanation given as to how he acquired them, and I never asked. Ill probably end up giving them to the World War II Museum in New Orleans when Im so old I cant keep them.......Bill S

Re: I'm speechless!
It was a shame that hartbeat got hold of these parts.
He will set a high price on those so no one will be able to afford it. |
