quote from shark427 in Yorktown Heights,N.Y. ..."Hello, here is a Super Rare item from my personal collection. Its a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, 4 speed, 4:56 rear sold new from Yenko Chevrolet. Check out the Owners section of the warranty book...Its completely blank. Never Filled in.
All Info off the metal protect o plate is as follows:
VIN# 124379N601xxx (complete vin# to new owner of this item only),VO214DZ ,BW0211G, P9B03, 1133, H, 2 , Has the Original selling dealership stamp from Yenko Chevrolet".

He needs to cover up the VIN number if he doesn't want to type it.
Looks like 124379N601907.

Has anyone else seen the Yenko Crest stamped on the warranty card?

Re: Did you see this on ebay?

I have, on a '69 Camaro bought there.
It had the owners info filled in.
There was a car on eBay a few months back and one on Cars on Line.com with the Yenko stamp.

On the back cover, John Hoopers first edition '69 Camaro Reference book, is a Daytona Yellow Yenko
Vin# N663794 formerly owned by Dan Bodnar of West Mifflin, Pa. That car came directly from Yenko. Pics of the paper work can be seen in that edition. Yenko hand written on the POP ...
Infamous as one of the lowest mileage (13,000) Most highly documented, papered cars with original Drive train ,interior & vinyl roof. (my brother re- built the complete running gear when Danny restored the car mid /late 80's) I have the tach.

I bought and sold that particular car a while back, didn't remember the Yenko crest being on the POP. Will have to dig up the file.

All that original paperwork was lost by the person I sold it to, don't know if it was ever found?

An interesting aspect of the "Bodnar" Yenko is that it was found when searching for a good parts car in order to use to rebody the COPO, they were going to restore.

$$$$$ Yes, that's true on finding it.
Danny bought a hulk of a COPO with the rear end & rad.,,,placed a local newspaper ad for a body or rust free car. The original owner responded and stated he had a yellow car he bought new at Yenko, a 427 car. He drove the car on the street and raced it a bit. Said, you can have the car & all the parts for $5,000.
Had lace paint added to the hood & trunk keeping the vinyl roof. In a short period over the next few years he modified the rear inners and trunk floor along with trimming and rolling the 1/4's. Trans was a warranty CT.
ENGINE saw some serious use, as Big flat tappets & rollers were tried. (brother Joe saved the original engine and most of the components)
I just recently gave the camshafts to a buddie for his Motion Clone Phase III.
The car had original paint, sheet metal except the trunk and tubs.

Steph, that pop book was hand written, Yenko, not a stamp.
2 others I had mentioned were Stamped.. sorry about that...
how the #&%$ can someone loose a ream of orig docs big enough to choke a horse from a display board.....oh. I get it now. ... rot ro

The copo hulk and yellow Camaro must have been purchased a long time ago (1980's?), when those types of cars weren't valuable...
