Pearl Harbor Dec. 7th, 1941

Today marks the 73rd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor...very few of the heroes of that day remain. Please take a moment to remember their sacrifice and service and for all those who continue to serve in harm's way.

Lest we forget

These were great WARRIORS -- we must never forget. There are questions whether Yamamoto ever said this, but supposedly he said "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." How true that statement was!!!

I'm way to young , as most of my family is also.... over the years I have had opportunities to sit and talk with many WWII Guys....(automobile sales afforded me the closeness) and have had always had a keen respect and appreciation for there courageous service.
As a Boy Scout our troop bused downtown for the Premier of :
Tora Tora Tora .... what an eye opener for a young kid that to this day I have a love of our country and military and high esteem for our men in uniform from any era..

Very interesting two part story in yesterday's and today's Arizona Republic newspaper about the nine - yes, only nine - remaining survivors from the USS Arizona. Youngest is 91, oldest is 100.

Tom ,thanks for posting this,
I have had many friends that were in WW2, a great group of men that never talked much about it,
my Dad and all 5 of his brothers were in that war at the same time.
