Happy Birthday to Ol Yeller
December 16, 1968, Bob Wagoner, BWAG here, took delivery of her. A Daytona yellow, radio delete, T400 L89 destined for SS/DA. I've owner her since '84 and about 10 years ago, he saw my posts and filled in many blanks. Although we talk a couple times a year, thank you never seems to be enough for his validation. One more year, a trip to the 2015 MCAC an a few short list calls will be made first offering her to go to a new home. Then it will be time to allow another enjoy her as much as I have. A few proud pics.

</div></div> Uh oh.........I guess I better start saving not to mention finding a place to park it since every square inch of owned as well as rented storage is full. I would love to own her, just not sure I could swing it. |

Noticed the BX coded rearend. I know what it's like running 4.88's in a rear. Had them in my '70 RS. A true "pavement tearing" set of gears!

Re: Happy Birthday to Ol Yeller
The yellow car was Dealers Toy II. It's in the top 5 of my favorite cars. This car was a consistent NHRA Super Stock racer for almost 3 years, but even after we mothballed it ,I would get it out and go AHRA Stock racing in between Pro-Stock meets and UDRA engagements. It would run 3 tenths under the record at Norwalk and was always in the money. The regular crowd never liked to see me pull in , knowing how I liked to Toy with them.

Can't wait to see this car at MCACN!!
I hope the next owner gets a "skin" to make it look like it did as raced. Ryan |
