Mystery wheel ID
I'm trying to ID these wheels. They look like American Torque Thrust Ds. They are a tubeless design. There is no lettering on the back. They are 15 X 5 1/2 with a 4 1/2 inch bolt circle. The excessive back spacing of 4 1/2 and the center cap design throws me. Any ideas? http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...psc4b0272a.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps41b8a903.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps735b76ed.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps5e0bbd0d.jpg |

Thanks. They did, but not 4 1/2 bolt circle.

Re: Mystery wheel ID
That's a good looking wheel. Are they for sale?

Re: Mystery wheel ID
are these aluminum or magnesium ?

Re: Mystery wheel ID
From what I'm used to, with the spoke reinforcement ribs and the lack of lettering on the inside they should be magnesium. However, I can't really tell. They don't seem extremely light and I have not been able to test them successfully. They look exactly like the above mentioned Porsche wheels but the bolt circle is different. Porsche is supposed to be 5 on 130mm. These are 5 on 4.5 in.

Re: Mystery wheel ID
Does anyone have am older 60's AR Catalog or other wheel company catalogs ?
these are worth exploring. there's a guy in Ca. on eBay who has a lot of Magnesium wheels advertised, he may be worth contacting. |
Re: Mystery wheel ID
A friend of mine has a set of wheels that look to be the same as these. He said they were Hollywood brand.
