Joe is AWESOME!! I have seen him solo in concert a couple times.. I first saw him when I was 14 years old at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio when he did the "You Bought It You Name It Tour". I remember the Fabulous Thunderbirds opened for him... They were LOUD!!

Then I saw him once with the James Gang on a reunion they did with all the original band members several years back at Blossom Music Center..

Latest was with Kenny Wayne Shepard who opened for Joe.. Kenny's band was fabulous!!

Then I have seen him three times with the Eagles...

A friend of mine was buddies with Joe at Kent State. He said he never saw Joe in any classes he just hung out around the campus. There was a burger joint the kids would go to and he stated Joe would show up and never have any money so he would buy him a burger.. That was at the start of the James Gang days..

Kind of sounds like Joe could have been the inspiration for Jeff Spicoli (Fast Times At Ridgemont High)
