I e-mailed and talked with the owner.

Car sounds like a solid platform, but is missing the entire drivtrain (no motor, has a date correct Muncie and a 10 bolt). The owner says the car does have the 3/8&quot; single fuel line and 6K tach, but no other docs for the car.

I'm waiting to get some pics from him.

Never got any pics, so we passed on the car. May be a real L78, but nothing much left to back it up other than the 3/8 fuel line and the Monaco Orange paint code.

My son really wants a 1968 - 1972 SS396 project that is legit, so we'll keep looking.

It should be. I never got the data tag information or the VIN. Without the original engine, trans or rear it's just a Monaco Orange SS Chevelle that needs a lot of work and parts.

Would you confirm with him that it is a 13637, 2 door hard top? If it was a 13437, or 13427 it would be much rarer....
