67 Fairlane GTA Convertible, desireable? Value?

Looking at red on Black 67 Fairlane GTA convertible 390, Automatic.

I'm told it's an original car, needs some work on the "frame". Have only seen pictures so far. Dealer emblem on the trunk lid, car looks very original, interior seems decent aside from maybe the carpet. etc. paint still shines, looks like car was never apart but I'm not sure.

What are these worth? Is there much of a market? I may drive for a summer or two and then sell it, but don't want to be married to it if I don't like it. Never been a ford guy and don't know a lot about them.

They are nice cars but the hardtop and post cars are more in demand with the straight line guys. The frame is a big determining factor with regards to value. If in fact it is a decent presentable driver and the rest of the body is relatively solid it will fall in the 6-8K range without pedals and maybe 10 if you really like it and plan to keep it around. Take a magnet with you in PEI. I lived in NB for 9 years. Good luck

There were no "post" GTs.

GTs are very popular with the Ford crowd and in ragtop form they're somewhat rare, but you probably would want to visit a Ford forum to find out what they are worth in top condition - I'd guess 40k.
