Hot Rod Industry News 1970 Chevelle & Nova SS's
2 Attachment(s)
Hot Rod Industry News October 1969, Interesting how they Picture the Corvette Tri-Power with the 70 Chevelle SS and they only mentioned the 396 350 HP motor at that time when Chevrolet clearly had the L78 as well and for the Nova they only mention the 350 300 HP motor??
A friend of mine sent me this today to share in my Chevelle Club and I thought it was interesting to share here. He only has the one page as the Nova page is the back of that Chevelle page. |

That's not a 70 L48 for a Nova.

The Chevy II label was last used in 1968...the SS Nova came with E70 x 14 wide oval whiteline tires in 1970. 45 years later there is still lots of incorrect info on the web...so I guess this shouldn't be too hard to understand. Cool stuff..

Kinda hard to believe they could get it so wrong.

No, just an observation. Everybody gets something wrong sometime, but they got a lot of stuff very incorrect for a national publication. Perhaps they've been absorbed by political publications due to their spot on information. (sarcasam) :-)) |
Re: Hot Rod Industry News 1970 Chevelle & Nova SS's
Wouldn't the lack of L78 mention be par for the course? Sure, these folks had tested L78 Chevelles before (at least their consumer magazine - the trade magazine didn't test cars), but there's plenty of info in previous years that doesn't mention the L78 either - especially items from GM.
