It's probably good that I can't afford that car, because if I could, I'd throw a set of mufflers on it and use it to take the kids to school.

There wa a rumor floating around back in the 70s that a Sox & Martin or Landy Dodge was bought from them, primered and taken to somewhere on the east coast. The car was street raced and made a crapper full of $$ before some savey troops figured out what they were racing. TAZ

That was Landy's 70 Challenger. Guy named Art Leong brought it back to New York with the intention of making a street racer out of it, but it never happened. Leong and his partner went legit before they did anything with the Landy car and started racing NHRA with some kind of ex-factory lightweight 71 Hemi Charger they found local. Thats the story I've heard, anyway. |
