Customized '69 Corvette
3 Attachment(s)
Saw this at a local swap meet today. Owner was asking $7500. Supposed to be a big block car originally but has a small block now. Had high redline tach and supposedly the hood was an original L88 hood but it had been cut. Said L88 on the console but I don't know how to ID a real one and I would assume it is not. The car is a runner. Owner's contact number is (805) 757-1765.

Re: Customized '69 Corvette
Maybe, maybe that is one of the 116 l88 cars!

Re: Customized '69 Corvette
It does have a Muncie that matches the VIN of the car and it does not have a drain plug. I think if it doesn't have an M22 then it can't be a real L88. Is that correct?

Re: Customized '69 Corvette
I believe that there were m21's in the mix.

Re: Customized '69 Corvette
Did it have twin pin J56 calipers and the HD rear end?

Here are some axle pics and the console. It was hard to see the calipers. I think they may have been single pin.

Re: Customized '69 Corvette
Jeff, all 4 speed L88's had m22

Re: Customized '69 Corvette
That's a 1968 Console & shift plate, there are no fiber-optic recesses.

Re: Customized '69 Corvette
Thanks for pointing that out I didn't look at the pictures too close. All 67 68 and 69 Corvettes produced with 4 speeds were all M22s
