Re: Rally Wheel Date
Yes, and it appears to be a '10' for the month (so October of '69 - a late wheel); on the other side of the stem hole will be the day and the YH ...
PS. beadblasting that area will make it much easier to read.. |
Re: Rally Wheel Date
Awesome thank you. Yeah, its on my to do list. Any idea what a fair price would be?

Re: Rally Wheel Date
$200

Re: Rally Wheel Date
I'd say less than that due to condition and that late of a date.

Re: Rally Wheel Date
Im going to sandblast it and see how it looks. Thanks for the info!

Re: Rally Wheel Date
isn't beadblasting less damaging than sandblasting?
|
Re: Rally Wheel Date
Im not sure?

Re: Rally Wheel Date
bead blasting will give you a finer finish. With sand blasting, it depends on the grit used what finish you will get. I generally use the FINE or EXTRA FINE grit sandblasting sand. If you maintain proper air pressure (not too high ie. 75-85 ps), your results will be fine on the wheels.
