'68 RS/Z Project
Doesn't look too terrible if it stays around the opening bid price. I'm guessing it will go somewhere in the very low teens. Almost looks like an original silver car judging by the floorboard overspray...I take it that would have been special order?
Nevertheless, for me it's tough to think about sinking tens of thousands of dollars into a '68 Z resto without any docs or original block. http://ebay.to/2dYaew5 http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/IfsAAO...2U/s-l1600.jpg |
Re: '68 RS/Z Project
I worked with a guy who had a late LA built 68 Z that was painted Cortez Silver.

Re: '68 RS/Z Project
Car supposedly has original block, although it's decked. Apparently was butternut yellow w black houndstooth.

Re: '68 RS/Z Project
Thats not a real Z IMHO.

Re: '68 RS/Z Project
If the glove box is original to that car, and rearend code. I would bet it is real.

Re: '68 RS/Z Project
I would have to agree, some positive evidence there.

Tech Center, right? I remember that guy - I think I bought some DF wheels from him. |
Re: '68 RS/Z Project
Need a lot more than that to call it a Z28. Zs don't grow on trees. :)
Original exterior is Y-2 via the cowl tag. |
Re: '68 RS/Z Project
I don't see any pics of the transmission or axle. Or much about the decked block other than a casting number pic. Might want to compare that glove box sticker to an original...hint...hint...

Re: '68 RS/Z Project
There are a couple things that could lead one to believe it could be a Z but nothing that has been mentioned here in this thread.. There are also several things that are red flags that its not a Z. Bryon has mentioned one of them..
