Dimensions of core between small block and big block ? I know they have been discussed somewhere.

I know the close out cover is big block but want to know the core.

Re: Heater core id ?

In my recent research, a '67 Camaro BB core will be about 2.5" thick, whereas '68+ cores are approx 2.0" thick. Height is about 6.5" and length is about 9".

Re: Heater core id ?

*wondering why the 'heater core' is different based on engine size*... occupants still are the same and need 'same amount of heat'... might make more sense for 'northern cars' to get bigger heaters...

Re: Heater core id ?

They are differant mostly because of the tube placement.
