Yenko talk and a CE block

With no one gonna be home yesterday I decided to go visit an old friend after church. I've known Burr for many years but have never really sat down and talked cars. So it was that yesterday was a great 4-3/4 hour discussion on nothing but cars and stories from the past. Only stupid me didn't set up a video camera to record it all because a lot of unique history poured out of 67 year old Burr. I heard about cars that were in my area that I never knew existed here - 71 Hemi Orange Hemi 4spd Road Runner white top & interior whose 1st owner was in his 70's when he purchased, 67 Hemi Coronet R/T convertible blue / white top whose owner was so big he barely fit behind the wheel, Sebring prepped 472 Cobra 427SC & in the same family 2 Ferrari's (one a Dino that the family still has, along with the Cobra!), 1 of 2 tuxedo black 67 427-435hp P/W Corvette that he missed out on in 71 for 1750.00, L88 Corvette that set a national record with Andy Africa driving, Hudson NASCAR history, visits to AND from Don Yenko (who I find out has family ties in Clarion) & Burr driving a 69 brown 427 sYc Nova that he could have bought for $275 down and $121 a month but he was headed for Germany via Uncle Sam, street racing stories, looking at his 53rd Corvette - a 65 327-365hp and barn finds galore. Man o man should I have had a video camera! I plan on going over again soon and maybe help him start organizing his pictures and absorb more history.
