IF the stamp is real - then this is a mis-stamp - august 38??

Casting is aug 27 i believe - but is the stamp real?

Real stamp and more than a few have turned up with that date stamp. If memory serves me correct, it was a 0830 date with a error and a bunch that came out that day.
