71 Chevelle SS at Volo Museum
I know someone who is sniffin' around this car.....any constructive criticism welcome. Definitely all the money - and then some - for a 71 Chevelle so equipped, but it looks pretty nice to me.

Looks like a real beautiful car!!
I love the interior and exterior colors! |
Because it's VOLO,a few glaring points stand out to me.
*#'s matching as opposed to Born with. *Dash is clearly a reproduction. *You should be able to feel the stripes. *Look @ the Cowl tag rivets. *On eBay too http://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Chevrol...-/112431863662 |
That's a lot of Ching-Ching for a bench seat auto. on column. I must say it does present awful nice in the pictures. I see a couple things that I'd question (besides those trim tag rivets), but no need to rain on a sunny day. I will say the P-O-P looks as new as those rivets.

Here's a link to a Cranberry Red 70 Chevelle your friend may want to see? |
I agree the Red 70 is a much better bet. Only thing I don't like on Red is the GM door decal.

Good point Graeme. If Dan is involved you don't need to wear your armor, that's for sure.

Same dealership as Mikey's (M22Mike) L78 Camaro (if'n this '71 POP is to be believed).

Thanks for everyone's input. I have also forwarded the ad for the red 70 that Dan V. has posted. We shall see what happens. The potential buyer is the son-in-law of a good friend of mine.....they all live in the Chicago area. He has already been up to Volo to see the car in person, but he has no real knowledge about vintage cars in general.
