Cleaning flash chrome exhaust tips
 

Whats everyone using to clean flash chrome? These are my original exhaust tips off my Vette.

very thin layer of chrome. if it is stainless I would have those exhaust tips polished. Maybe try some Mothers or Wenol (red tube) all purpose metal polish.

I clean a lot of chrome parts. Soapy water and 000 steel wool works well. I generally use 000 steel wool and Windex.

Darren, I'd clay them with soap first. Then take 0000 steel wool with Blue Magic metal polish. Will clean up perfectly. I did the same process on the original tips off my '70 LT1.

Clay and soapy water then chrome polish with 0000 steel wool for the outside. Then easy off oven cleaner for the inside.

Lots of efforts, but a great outcome. Looks good.
