What's this Z worth?

I have ben looking for a survivor 69 Z for a while. This one can be bought for 40k. It's looking a little tired but is it worth that? I'm asking you guys because my knowledge on these are limited.

I wouldn't be buying it for any price...period.

Suggest you keep looking. :)

yea i would keep looking that car is way overpriced and lots of issues....

I kinda disagree with the others. Orig. engine Z28 with a build sheet is not a bad start. 35K ? Throw 10K at it and you have a cool car. Black plate car . Great potential.

But a misuse of the term survivor....
And what's up with the axle? Letter says it is BL0926G, but TC post shows BU0110G1. Huh??

yes the non x code cars are very hard too prove real z28,s even throw build sheet? no picture, west coast prices? I would stay away. foster:beers:

I guess i was looking at how correct u would want it? If it was me i would have to find the orig throttle rod, alt, dist smog, etc u know all the little things that add up,and if u pay 40k and have to buy all that stuff , do a paint job etc i think u will easily surpass 65k mark and u could buy a more correct one ready to go!!!!!!!

I am more concerned with orig. drivetrain, paperwork, sheetmetal. The little add on stuff can be found over time. You might find a restored one for more money but you also don't know what it looked like before resto. What is hidden or restamped etc. A Ca. car with it's orig. black plate probably has a pretty good body compared to something that might have come from back east with rockers, 1/4's etc replaced.

Perfect Day2 car. Value price for a car that'll get used.
