Throttle Cable Pics
Hello all, I'm in the finishing stages of a 68 Chevelle build and need a picture of the throttle cable attachment on the carb end of a Holley equipped big block. The car was originally a small block, now has a big block transplanted in it. Need a pic to determine where the cable hooks to the carb. If anyone could post a pic that would be great. Thanks

My main question here is, did Chevy/GM use the large hole on the throttle shaft lever on cable operated applications? I guess I don't a pic for that. Thanks.

This is from a 1969 396/350 HP Chevelle SS - does this help? |
Thanks for the reply. it does help some, I'm using a Holley 3310. The pic gives me a pretty good visual clue to the height of the attachment point though. I want to use an L88 dropped air cleaner base and as I understand there is some issues to work around using a non OEM holley carb. Typical hot rodding trial and error. Anyone have a pic using a Holley. Thanks.

1970 Nova L-78 Original bracket Original main body but not certain about the rest ie. missing the vented bowl. Also tall style intake... pancake is in basement. Gary |
Huh, not in the top hole interesting. Are the bowl vents cut at an angle? Thanks
|
Yes bowl vents are angle cut.

Ok, thanks

It operates better when the cable ball stud is inline with the bracket, as shown on the Holley pic. |
