Gents need some help identifying these valve covers I know there bbc but what year and how do I tell if their originals. The chrome is very good and one cover has two small dents down by the headers. They also have the drippers. Thanks

Hard to tell for sure but based on the upper right corner photo those look to be the inexpensive reproduction covers. I am not seeing the very small flanged lip around the edge like you would see on an original or the real expensive reproduction covers. See the attached photo for the lip on an original cover.

Rick your talking about the little tiny shear edge when they where stamped correct!

Yes, that little tiny rolled lip you see in my picture. The inexpensive covers have straight sides on the edges of the flange with no lip.

Hard to explain, but I don't see any marks on the outside of the valve covers opposite of where the drippers are like on original valve covers
