Camaro SS hood

Is this an original Chevy hood or a reproduction? If it's real then I might go get it.

Freddie, can’t tell by those pics? But go over to CRG and put in the search “hood” on the forum. It will give you what you need to know. The 2 things to look at are the back edge corners and how they taper, and the round pieces that sit on the front bumpers/ adjusting stops. They should have three welds in an even triangle.

OK, thanks.

Looks like original paint where the brackets were pulled. See if he'll send you a pic of the date code. It would be on the side by the corner up towards the windshield.

OK. I sent a message and asked if it was reproduction or original. If he says original then I'll ask for the date. Thanks.

The date is sometimes really hard to see. If there is too much paint for one or really lightly struck....Joe
