'69 Chevelle SS396/325hp 4-speed

Comes with the Protectoplate and window sticker. I can't make a call on the POP but the font on the window sticker looks odd to me. Any thoughts?

To me it looks washed........And the fonts seem off compared to others................

Looks odd to me, too.

Lots of repop crap on that car. Pretty, but the real documentation has been blanked out.

This car was posted for sale on the NYC craigslist back in March of this year. I spoke to the owner on the phone; the story was that the car was at a mechanic shop with the dash out of it but he needed to sell it and couldn’t wait for the shop to finish. He had all the parts to finish the job, the shop was just too backed up with work. He wasn’t knowledgeable on Chevelles as far as details go, knew just the basics about the car. He was asking $25k obo but was very flexible and gave me a tempting price over the phone. I ultimately decided it wasn’t the car for me. Looks like the current owner put the dash back in and is flipping it.

I just looked at the thread on the Chevelle site that was linked here. There's a picture there of the POP laying on top of what appears to be a window sticker copy.....and the font on that window sticker copy (if that's what it is) looks far more credible than the font on the obvious repro window sticker shown here.

----Is it possible that the picture of those two documents is somehow distorted? The window sticker in particular looks too narrow...….Bill S

You may be onto something there, Bill.....if you look at the metal portion of the POP, it looks disproportionate, too.
