Negative battery location 1969 Nova
 

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me where on the engine the Neg battery wire mounts for my 1969 Nova SS L78 396?

I have been searching all my pictures and many on the internet and I am seeing many big block Novas attaching Neg battery cable to the alternator bracket and many that are not on the bracket.

I was missing my alternator bracket and purchased a nice original 1969 big block upper bracket. It only has two small holes in it. One for the heater hose bracket, and one for plastic clip for alternator wire. There is no other hole to mount the Neg battery wire too.

I see some people have it attached to engine above the fuel pump. I just would like to know what would be factory correct. Anyone know?

Above the fuel pump, it's in the assy manual.
