Stewart Warner Gauges
How or do the new greenline gauges differ from vintage late 60's gauges? Also what about the Deluxe line, same question. I'm asking about the 2 1/16 and 2 5/8 oil pressure and water temperature. Did the Yenkos use mechanical or electric gauges? Thanks

These are the repro's, they have obvious differences to the originals - JoeB prob has plenty of NOS one he can post pics of....

Just bought a bunch of Greenline SW's for a boat resto I'm closing in on. They may not be exactly the same but do seem a very period design...….Bill S

I looked at those a couple years ago and I still like them. Just ordered a set of those.

Any one have an opinion on the deluxe gauges, old vs new? Also were electric gauges used much back in the day? I remember the early 70's here, Sun tach and SW oil and water gauge were standard in lots of cars. As I remember everything was mechanical. Did Yenko use mechanical or electric gauges as an option. How were they routed through the firewall? Drilled a big hole? Hoping that Joe, the gauge guru, pops in.

As far as I know, Yenko only used mechanical SW gauges. As with anything, if you're super fussy and are determined to find differences between old and new I'm sure you can... but I personally think they did a pretty good job with the new ones.

Did they put 2 5/8 or 2 1/16 gauges in the Yenko's.

Both 2 1/16" and 2 5/8" were used. In 69 they installed these 2 1/16" pre-packaged triple gauge assemblies in many cars. Dixco Hustlers on the bottom as used in '70 in the Deuces.
