Not just this car, but I've never understood how someone can just throw emblems at a car and not care how bad the placement is. It's the 1st thing people see. To me it ruins an otherwise decent looking car. Stripes, don't get me started on badly done stripes.

I didn't think the VN cars got the PBT stamps. My Van Nuys car is untouched under the hood and there are none to be found.

Yeah, kind of a pet peeve of mine too. I see it all the time - someone will do a fantastic job on the paint and bodywork, only to cut corners on getting the emblems straight and in the right spot, or laying out the stripes correctly. They make the stencil kits for a reason, and there are plenty of pictures on the internet to get the emblems right. It's like a supermodel with a big huge volcanic zit in the middle of her forehead.

Wrong stripes got my attention right away. lots of other incorrect things too.

How Hard and how expensive is it to fix that?

I would say very hard, especially with metallic paint. Essentially, you are talking about redrilling emblem holes in the proper positions and reshooting the stripes, which means repainting the affected panels. Much easier to do your homework and get it right the first time, especially on a high dollar car.

I used the original fenders off of my car for the hole locations. I cut pieces out of them so that they would lay over the new fenders where I could mark the hole locations. I also kept parts of the original quarter panels and the rear panel where the RS back up lights go. My stripes are a total mess because I didn't know of any stencils when my car was painted.
