Rejuvenate fuel hose

I have a Camaro at my house that I need to send the original fuel pump for rebuilding but not restoring. Trying not to disturb much on the car as it has 12k original miles. Problem is the fuel hose is as hard as a 2x4. Trying to save it.
Any suggestions? Thank you, Joe

Always heard that soaking rubber in wintergreen oil would naturally soften it. Never tried but some folks swear by it.

Google "wintergreen oil soften rubber" and see what you come up with.

Considering its the fuel line , why would someone run the risk of burning the car to the ground for just for authenticity ???
Just my opinion is all :)

Rubber does not last forever. Had to replace mine at some point. Just go to Napa and get new fuel hose and replace all your rubber fuel lines.

Thank you all the suggestions. I think I'll cut the old one & save it in the box with all the other original parts that were saved after all these year. Better to be safe than sorry...Joe
