'57 Corvette Estate Find
This one has since been revived by a Chevy dealer, but definitely has an intriguing look and great color combination. I'm guessing it's not an original injection car but a guy can dream....
Unfortunately, the state-of-Illinois assigned VIN is a buzzkill for sure.... Link to 1957 Corvette auction https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/zsgAA...c1/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/W-IAA...cb/s-l1600.jpg E57S106135 |
Although the assigned vin beats the heck out of a "bill of sale only" car with no vin plate.
Long term plan is to get Sherri a C1 or C2 Corvette. She will NOT consider anything with a red interior. I know some folks just love the red interior. |
----A close look makes me believe this 57 was originally red and the passenger door started out blue. If it was a fuel injected car it was the lower horsepower version (250hp I think)…...Bill S

Noticed that as well, Bill. Driver's door also has signs if blue paint.
Bits of red showing throough in multiple places. Definitely not a high end paint job. |
Years ago we looked at a 59 or 60 Vette that was on a lift in an old service station since the 1970's. Got up on a ladder to open the driver side door and sure enough NY State Issued VIN. Walked away despite how intriguing it was.
