'67 4-piston caliper pad rattle

I have a persistent issue on my '67 disc-brake GTO - I get a regular clicking noise from either one or both pads as they rock inside the caliper. Is there any sort of anti-rattle spring, washer, etc that is supposed to be here to avoid this? The noise goes away completely when I apply the brake. Thanks!

----Tony,,, No disrespect but whose pads are they? If they are a bit off as is somewhat typical of offshore pads they tend to do what you are describing. There is no anti rattle springy thingy that I know of. When you apply the brake you are forcing the pads to one end and they stay there till you let off the brakes and apply throttle. Then they are going slightly back and forth and they rattle because they have too much clearance on both ends. Get the best US made pads you can find and see what happens. Hope this helps...….Bill S

Bill, no offense taken. These were the pads that came in a ziploc bag when I bought the car (the original owner had taken the calipers off to have them sleeved, and bought new pads as well). I’ll look into a good set of pads and see what happens. Thanks!

How are the pins that hold the pads on? The repos are smaller in size {dia wise} and that may adding to the rattle as well.

Bought a NOS set of pads - I'll report back when I install them. Thanks!
