'69 Camaro RS/SS 396/6-sp Restomod, Super Nice, Owned Since '85
Beautiful car and it's about 1.5 hours from my place if anyone is seriously interested and needs a set of eyes on it. Price seems pretty close to fair. There's something to be said for a car the guy's owned since '85, and it came out of NM so you won't have to deal with any Michigan corrosion issues.

I agree, very nicely done. Don't think I would change anything on this one!

What a beauty!

I talked with the owner at length. Nicely built car but the tribute build was done on an X11 307ci auto car that he's converted over the years. Has had GM quarters and fenders put on when he converted the RS options many years ago when it was Maroon.
It would make a decent driver car but has nothing original in ways of an RS/SS car. |
69 Camaro
Sharp looking car...I'm a little surprised a NM car needed all that sheet metal replaced :hmmm:

The told me he bought the car in NM in 1980 when he was (15) years old. His dad worked for a GM division and they were able to buy parts cheap so they stock piled body parts for his car and his sisters (another Camaro) and they began fixing them up and restoring them in high school. He said he hung new quarters on it, added RS front fenders, an RS grill and painted it a Maroon color back in the early 80's. When he stripped down in 2015 he then went back to the factory TT colors of 72/72 and added the side stripes. That's all I know about it. |
