'69 Camaro RS/SS, CE L89

I really like the look of this one. I can't find any auction history or prior sales but would love to know how it was originally ordered.

----This seller also has a bunch of parts that seem, for the most part, to be fairly priced. Example,,, 67/69 Camaro flat hood $150...….Bill S

All that trouble to make the car look all correct and then go and add a repop booster and master, a shiny repop rosewood dash, and those gawdy looking headrest covers.

And what's with those lower shock plates??? No thanks.

Don’t know the car, but do know seller. He sells many blocks on eBay. Has a warehouse down in the city. I have bought from him and he seems decent enough and represents stuff well. He has 2 copo blocks on eBay (or had) for awhile. If someone buys me lunch and a round of ammo ( rough area), I’ll go look at this. The details pointed out has me believe things aren’t exactly perfect and it is what it is. This is why I strive to make things correct. Not so much for the correct police, but if a car appears beyond reproach, it gives credence that it is what it is supposed to be and , therefore, believable that the resto is correct.

I have dealt with Howard many times over the years and it has always been a good experience.

I don't even think it was originally a PDB car. That is the type of arrangement that you usually see with the generic budget oriented disc brake conversions. And yes, they make MUCH nicer reproduction head rests now. I have a set on my car. Those covers just don't get it.

It looks like it would be a fun car. I guess at least he is not advertising it with a "real" L89 asking price, but at the same time he never comes out and says that it is a "tribute" or "recreation". It would take a lot to convince me otherwise, but I'm afraid there is someone out there somewhere who would believe that it is the real deal.
