'66 Catalina 421/4-sp Convertible
This is nice.... I'm fairly certain we talked about this car last year, but can't find the post.
There seem to be quite a few big-car Pontiac convertibles for sale lately (anecdotally), and a surprisingly high fraction with 4-speed transmissions. Pretty sloppy of the dealer to take pics of the car in such a dirty state...you know, nothing makes me want to shell out $50k faster than a dusty engine bay and some brown drips around the 421 emblem. Come on, man. Closer to $60k Tony.
Not knocking the car, but have a couple of questions. Will a full size Poncho like this really bring that kind of $$$$? Were they still using the 8 lug wheels in 66? I remember seeing them on early 60's cars, but not this late. But then, I wasn't paying close attention to Pontiacs, even though my mom drove a 66 Catalina four door. |
Yes - 8 lug aluminum wheels were still available in '66.
'67 as well. K |
