'58 Eldorado Brougham Project, Original Paint, CA Black Plates

These cars are insanely expensive to restore if you have to source parts...but this one looks to be pretty complete.

I think these are some of the neatest American cars ever produced...with a $13k sticker price in 1958, just unreal. I'm pretty confident GM lost money on every one sold, despite the high MSRP. One of 304 made in 1958.

----On the off chance that someone on the sight actually wants this Caddy, make sure you look the bumpers over very carefully! They are made out of cast aluminum and the aluminum tends to rot away underneath the chrome. Trust me, I have experienced the horror of finding out that the bumpers on the one I bought out of a backyard in FT. Liquerdale back in about 1969/70 were basically just the chrome plating with nothing underneath. Try and find a set of them..…..Bill S

I have driven a 57 Brougham. Just not that impressed, given the high price back in the day. I have never been able to warm up to the lines on the Brougham, especially after looking at the standard Eldo (either the Seville or the Biarritz). Those cars are gorgeous, and a 57 Eldo (don't like the later quad headlights) is actually on my list of cars I would like to own someday. But prices have skyrocketed since I turned down a solid example for $4500. Just couldn't accept the green color on that one.
